We meet every Tuesday morning from 7:30 until 8:30 at the Pinewood Country Club, 405 Country Club Blvd. Y’all come for your make-up meeting, bring a flag from your club (and get one of ours), and experience some of our Southern hospitality!

 Our July 4th Slidell Heritage Festival started the 2010-2011 Rotary Year with a bang, featuring fireworks, bands, arts & crafts, children's activites, and food of all kinds. About 6,000 people were in attendance. The event is a joint effort of both local Rotary clubs, the City of Slidell, and the Times-Picayune newspaper. Proceeds support local charities. Check out the Slidell Heritage Festival website for details on this year's July 4th celebration.

 On September 11, our club will host its third annual Rotary Skeet Shoot at the Covey Rise Lodge in Husser, LA, north of Robert. The 4-man sporting clays competition includes a barbecue and jambalaya dinner at the lodge, team awards, door prizes, and a shotgun raffle. There will be an area for 5-stand warm-up and 4-person flush competition preceding the main tournament. Event sponsorships and station sponsorships are available. Last year's event benefited four youth-oriented charities. See our Skeet Shoot tab for more information. |

 Our Eighteenth Annual Golf Classic was held on April 9, 2010. The event, held at Oak Harbor Golf Course, had over 70 golfers and netted over $12,000 for charities and other worthy causes in the community.
We also have 50-50 raffles, sweet potato sales, and football pools during the year to generate revenue for our service projects. |

 To celebrate our 25th anniversary, the club donated a pedestal-style Rotary Clock, to Olde Towne Slidell, The clock displays the Rotary logo, is backlighted, and chimes on the quarter-hour. Our Silver Anniversary Celebration was held on March 27, 2009, with a celebration reception and the unveiling of the Rotary Clock on Second Street, in front of the Slidell Municipal Auditorium and across the street from the new City Hall complex.
The clock plaza was a joint endeavor between the Rotary club and the City of Slidell. Grants were also provided by the Leadership Slidell Northshore Alumni Association and Rotary District 6840 in the form of a District Simplified Grant. |
